Prof. Caroline McMillen; TOOTH; Alumni Awards

  • 10.15am: Professor Caroline McMillen, University of Newcastle Vice Chancellor, discusses the implications of the federal budget for the University of Newcastle. The University of Newcastle is ranking as number 1 in Australia and number 28 globally by the latest Times Higher Education rankings of the world's top 100 universities under 50 years old. Professor Phil Morgan’s research Healthy Dads, Healthy Kids has been recognised by the World Health Organisation for excellence and leadership in promoting health and wellbeing in the community. Laureate Professor Paul Foster is developing new approaches to treat asthma. The University of Newcastle's Collaborative Environments for Creative Arts Research is hosting Michael Keiran Harvey, one of Australia's foremost virtuoso pianists, in its new research seminar series, Thursday, 29 May 2014, 4pm-5pm, the Theatrette, University House, ground floor corner Auckland and King Street, Newcastle
  • 10.45am: Dr David Hancock and Jenny Hancock have news about TOOTH - The Outback Oral Treatment and Health program
  • 11.15am: Director Eternal Relations, University of Newcastle, Rose O'Neill-Thomson. The Alumni Awards nominations are now open. Presented annually by the Alumni Advisory Committee, the awards recognise innovation, creativity, exceptional leadership and those who inspire others through their local, national and international achievements
