  • 9.35am: Rosemary O’Neill Thomson, Acting Director Advancement & External Relations, University of Newcastle. The John Turner Memorial Lecture, Thursday 9 May 2013 at Newcastle City Hall will feature Prof. Michael Roosenthal
  • 10.15am: Tracy Schumacher, PhD student in Nutrition and Dietetics. Volunteers are being sought for a new study into Families at Risk of Heart Disease
  • 11.15am: Cr Rosmairi Dawson, Lake Macquarie City Council. Cr Dawson has asked Council Staff to investigate the idea of establishing a safe and legal public place to sell second-hand vehicles in Lake Macquarie. This comes amid concerns of cars being parked illegally for sale on roadsides at Morisset, Pelican and Warners Bay
  • 11.35am: Laureate Prof. Jon Borwein discusses fraud foolishness and error in scientific research
